PIT Group (FPInnovations) is certified as a testing laboratory for fuel consumption under a variety of methods including:

  •  Fuel consumption testing for heavy-duty vehicles testing according to SAE Type I, II and III Procedures, and EPA SmartWay Interim Test Methods;

  •  Emissions testing using portable emission measurement systems (PEMS) according to EPA regulations;
  •  Fuel consumption and emission testing for conventional and hybrid heavy and light-duty vehicles according to specific SAE standards.This standard is the international reference for on-road testing. 

Performance Innovation of Transport FCS-27

The Performance Innovation of Transport is a neutral road test laboratory that uses the most stringent protocols of the industry to measure the exact performance of a technology and provide you and your customers with precise, reliable and verified third-party data on the performance of your technology.

The FCS-27 has been tested by the Performance Innovation of Transport using the SAE J1321 Type 2 testing procedures and protocols.

PIT has tested more than 175 Technologies on the Market.

Only two products have been certified: Shell Diesel Extra as Level 2 and FCS-27 as Level 5 (the highest certification level for any Fuel Additive on the market). The result shows a Fuel Improvement by 5.2% and a reduction of greenhouse gas emission by 8.686 Mt./truck/year.

This standard is the international reference for testing laboratories, and is rarely granted to testing activities outside laboratories.

The tests were performed on the BRAVO high-speed test track. This track is a high-banked, parabolic oval. The length of a test run was 13 laps (87 km.), with departure and arrival at the same position along the track.

The FCS 27 additive from PE Fuels Canada showed the following results, expressed for the confidence level of 95 % as required by the SAE J1321 Joint TMC/SAE Fuel Consumption Test Procedure-Type II (SAE International 2012).

Fuels improvement: 5.20 %  0.58 %

Beijing Transport Energy & Environment Center (BTEC) FCS-27

Tests were conducted on bus and car and were performed by Beijing Transport Energy and Environment Center (BTEC) of Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport using SEMTECH ECOSTAR sensor (represents today’s best available commercial technology).

The following tests were performed on June 15, 2016; October 15, 2016; and November 11, 2016; in Beijing, China. Tests were conducted on a bus and were performed by Beijing Transport Energy and Environment Center (BTEC) of Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport using SEMTECH ECOSTAR sensor under the supervision of Xieu Tan from CM Technologies.

Beijing Transport Energy & Environment Center (BTEC) FCS-28

The following tests were performed on June 15, 2016; July 22, 2016; and August 11, 2016; in Beijing, China. Tests were conducted on a passenger car and were performed by Beijing Transport Energy and Environment Center (BTEC) of Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport using SEMTECH ECOSTAR sensor under the supervision of Xieu Tan from CM Technologies.

BAPCO & Bureau Veritas

FCS-27 has achieved outstanding reduction of fuel consumption well in excess of 10 % through tests in Bahrain performed by Bureau Veritas in Bahrain and witnessed by representatives from BAPCO and the Ministry of Environment from Bahrain.

AirCare was an initiative started in 1992 to improve air quality in British Columbia, Canada through the systematic testing of road vehicles in order to reduce their emissions. Light-duty vehicles were suggested to be the biggest contributors to air pollutants that form smog and a small percentage of vehicles were contributing a large percentage of the pollutants.

“All the tests were conducted according to ASTM standard and were duplicated to ensure the repeatability of the value measured. In some tests (flash point, cloud point, sulfur content, electrical conductivity), the result showed a value that was significantly better than the standard value. Overall, all the results showed that the blended diesel (with FCS´ fuel additive) properties are above the Canadian General Standard Board for automotive (on-road) diesel fuel (CAN-CGSB-3.517-2017). All properties tested respect the Canadian and American Fuel standard and the use of blended diesel (with ´ fuel additive FCS-27). ”
